As a Midwesterner. I finally tried In n Out a few months ago while traveling.
The fries were just fine, but nothing special. I definitely would not say they were bad. Better than Burger King by a long shot.
Burger was legit. Double double.
If I go back I’d probably get double single for less cheese. Not in a hurry to go back. But if it’s in the area and I need gast food I’d hit them up before most other chains.

My biggest gripe about In-N-Out is the people that go there are so fucking obnoxious.
I like Wendy’s. I get a number six with no tomato and I add cheese to it. And that’s what I tell people I get
But people who go to In-N-Out oh God. Ask them what they get. They’re like Man I want that double-double upside down animal style with a twist extra done You know what I mean
It’s like bro calm down You’re getting a number two with onions.
They order in some obnoxious ass way thinking their part of some super secret club because they know what animal style means or they’re getting onions that are cooked or some shit. So fucking annoying. Guys you’re not that cool You’re good in the same exact thing as the guy behind you is going to get
You’re not in some special club. There’s not a secret menu. You’re not in the CIA. Calm down
